Author Visits & Writing Workshops
As well as conducting talks and workshops on flash-fiction writing with high-school and corporate groups, Paul conducts short fiction and memoir writing workshops alongside best-selling YA writer Nova Weetman. Under the banner Wordsworthy, Paul and Nova run adaptable multi-session workshops that guide participants through the creative process from the initial stage of ideas generation to the completion of a piece of short fiction or creative non-fiction of which they can be proud.

In recent years, Wordsworthy has worked with University High School’s year 9 students on a memoir-writing project that culminates in a book featuring short memoir pieces written by participating students. As well as providing the students an opportunity to explore meaningful or memorable moments in their lives, the completed book offers students a wonderful insight into their peers, some of whom are friends and classmates, others the unknown students who pass them in the corridor every day.
